Bycast extends its leadership position in grid storage technology with its latest product release.
Vancouver, BC, Canada, October 9, 2007 – Bycast Inc., a leading provider of grid-powered storage management software, today announced the general availability of StorageGRID 7 designed for customers demanding the highest levels of data availability and data protection. This latest version extends Bycast’s leadership position in grid storage technology by simplifying the cost-effective delivery and operation of massive fixed-content storage systems.
StorageGRID 7 enables broad availability of fixed-content data and improves the core capabilities of traditional storage systems by inherently delivering superior data protection, business continuity, automated disaster recovery and simplified management through task automation and proactive notification.
Bycast also introduces a new High Availability Gateway Cluster product with StorageGRID 7 that delivers automated file system failover to enable continued read and write access even in the case of a hardware error. The High Availability Gateway Cluster runs on industry-standard servers empowering customers to cost-effectively achieve business continuity without vendor lock-in associated with proprietary hardware.
