Senior Storage and Software executives bring experience and domain knowledge to rapidly growing company
Vancouver, BC – September 10, 2007 – Bycast® Inc., the leading provider of grid-powered storage management software, today announced two new appointments to its Board of Directors including Steve West, founder of Emerging Company Partners LLC and former President and CEO of Hitachi Data Systems, and Judi Hess, Vice President, Eastman Kodak Company, General Manager and Vice-President, Enterprise Solutions, Graphic Communications Group; Managing Director, Kodak Canada.
Steve West is founder and partner of Emerging Company Partners LLC, and serves on the Board of Directors for Cisco Systems. Previously, Steve was President and CEO of Hitachi Data Systems, Group Executive/President Infotainment Business for Electronic Data Systems Corporation (EDS), and COO of nCUBE Video Technologies. He is a 1979 graduate of Siena Heights College with a BS degree in Electronic Engineering, and a 1992 graduate of the University of Michigan Global Leadership Program. Steve is also a Broadcast Engineer licensed by the Federal Communications Commission. He is an active member in the Audit Committee Leadership Network, Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE) and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
Judi Hess is Vice President, Eastman Kodak Company, General Manager and Vice-President, Enterprise Solutions, Graphic Communications Group; Managing Director, Kodak Canada. Previously, she served as President of Creo Inc., a premier supplier of prepress and workflow systems for the commercial printing industry, acquired by Kodak in 2005. Prior to Creo, she worked with MacDonald Dettwiler and Associates (MDA), a high-technology commercial and defense contractor in Canada. Judi holds an Honors Bachelor of Mathematics degree from the University of Waterloo.
